Belt System

Here is the belt system that Renshin-Kai Karate follows as well as include instructions on how to properly tie your karate belt.

BELT RANK

Black: 1st dan
Brown with black stripe: 1st kyu
Brown: 2nd kyu
Green with brown stripe: 3rd kyu
Green: 4th kyu
Orange: 5th kyu
Yellow: 6th kyu
Blue: 7th - 8th kyu
White: 9th - 10th kyu

TYING your belt

Wearing the Gi and belt is a tradition that has been handed down from generation to generation. It is important to tie your belt correctly and keep your Gi clean. Both must be worn with pride and respect.

Gis (embroidered with our logo) are available for purchase at our dojo, but you can also purchase your own Gi online.
